Breaking News: Tulane Green Wave Quarterback Kai Horton Commits to Southeastern Louisiana Lions

Tulane Green Wave quarterback Kai Horton is transferring to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, the school announced on Monday.

Horton, a three-star recruit out of John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, Louisiana, was a key part of Tulane’s offense in 2022.

He started nine games and threw for 1,604 yards with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Horton also rushed for 310 yards and five touchdowns.

He is expected to compete for the starting quarterback job at Southeastern Louisiana.

  • Horton is the second Tulane player to transfer to Southeastern Louisiana this offseason.
  • Wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson announced his transfer in January.

Horton’s commitment is a big boost for Southeastern Louisiana, which is coming off a 4-7 season.

The Lions are looking to improve their offense in 2023, and Horton could be the key to their success.
